Service Description
Discover Florence in just three hours with a tour combining a guided visit of the historic center (2 hours) and the ascent of Brunelleschi’s famous dome (1 hour). An ideal experience to understand the essentials of the city while admiring one of its greatest masterpieces. We will begin with a walk through the heart of Florence, the true cradle of the Renaissance. As we stroll through its streets and squares, you will discover the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Piazza della Signoria, the Church of Orsanmichele, the Uffizi Gallery (exterior), the Vasari Corridor, Ponte Vecchio, and Pitti Palace. I will share the fascinating history of Florence, its artists, its powerful families, and the anecdotes that have shaped its identity. We will then continue with the ascent of the dome, Brunelleschi’s brilliant creation. From the inside, you will be able to closely admire the monumental frescoes of the Last Judgment before climbing the 463 steps leading to the top. Once there, you will enjoy a spectacular panoramic view over the city and its rooftops. Important information: — The dome has no elevator. — The climb is not recommended for people suffering from claustrophobia, vertigo, or heart/respiratory conditions. — Please wear very comfortable shoes. — Appropriate attire for a religious site is required: shoulders covered, no flip-flops, no overly short clothing. Tickets and reservations: The tour price does not include the ticket for the dome, which must be booked in advance (this is a must-see and highly in-demand site). Official ticket office: tickets.duomo.firenze.it Important: This tour does not include a full visit of the Duomo complex (museum, crypt, bell tower, baptistery), but all essential explanations will be provided to help you understand the history and architecture of the Duomo. Book this tour to enjoy an unforgettable cultural, historical, and visual experience in the heart of Florence!
